Check work boards for every team
Check is a planned work board app for teams that plan and chase work on boards of cards, from a depot's daily jobs to an office project. It is designed to work on a phone on the floor as well as at a desk, and to let a record from another Thing.team app, such as a RIMS action or a W? stock count, be a card. Check is part of the Thing.team suite from ML2 Consulting and is at the planning stage.
Planned
Who it’s for
- Frontline staffToday's jobs on a phone: tick them off, add a photo, done.
- ManagersOne board for the site, including actions from the other apps.
- Office and project teamsBoards, lists and checklists that keep up with them.
Problems it solves
- Jobs tracked on whiteboards, in group chats and in someone's notebook.
- Actions from incidents and audits retyped into a separate to-do list.
- Task tools that lock basic features, such as permissions or automations, behind higher prices.
Features and functions
What Check is designed to do. It is at the planning stage, so every item is planned.
Boards and cards
- Board, list and table views, with drag and drop or the keyboard. Planned
- Cards with assignees, dates, checklists, child cards, photos and comments. Planned
- Six starter templates, such as a depot daily board and vehicle checks. Planned
- Recurring cards for daily, weekly and monthly checks. Planned
My work
- Everything assigned to me across all boards, grouped by when it's due, on a phone. Planned
- Works with weak signal: changes are kept on the phone and sent when signal returns. Planned
Control and automation
- Board permissions for everyone, with no higher price to unlock them. Planned
- Simple automations with no monthly limit. Planned
How it works with the other apps
- A RIMS action, a W? count, a CREAM opportunity or a Journey or SMT ticket can be a card, with its status kept in step.
- Check links to other apps' records through the platform; it never reaches into their data directly.
- Boards reportable in CROSS.
Included in every licence
- Every working feature of an app comes with every paid licence for it. Nothing on this page is held back for a higher price.
- What changes the price is scale: how many people use the apps, how many apps each person has, and hosting, storage and email at what they cost us plus 20%.
- A higher level for organisations that need more control, such as enforced single sign-on, data residency choices, test systems and custom roles, is planned. Its price isn't set yet.
Next step
Look around the Thing.team demo with sample data, or talk to us about Check. The demo shows the platform’s set-up screens; Check isn’t in it yet.
Questions
Can we move our boards from Trello, Monday.com or Jira?
The plan includes importing CSV exports from Trello, Monday.com, Jira and Asana.
Are permissions or automations extra?
No. Board permissions and simple automations are planned for every licence, with no monthly limit on automations.
When will Check be available?
Check is at the planning stage: nothing is built yet and there is no price for it yet. Check on thing.team has the latest.
